Meet Johnaden, Professional Writer – Content Marketing Company

Johnaden has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science

I’m Johnaden, 38 years old, from Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines. I graduated from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

My first job was as a reservation and ticketing agent in a famous airline company in my country. I’ve also experienced working as a receptionist in an accreditation company and an admin assistant in an international school. I decided to apply for a job online because of the countless benefits it offers.

I tried my luck and sent my resume to a Digital Marketing Company based in America.  Now, I’ve been working as one of the company’s content marketers for more than 8 years.  I love my job because it keeps on developing my writing and research skills. Helping our client’s websites rank by creating valuable and optimized content, being able to work without compromising family time, and working with a great team make me feel blessed and thankful.

I like traveling to different places and enjoying the beauty of nature. It is one way to spend quality time with my family. It also provides a sense of adventure and allows me to appreciate God’s gifts.

I don’t like playing computer games in my spare time. I’d rather search articles and watch videos about health, natural beauty treatments, travel, and parenting.

This quote keeps me motivated in doing my best in everything that I do: “Do something today that your future self will thank you for.”

Johnaden’s thoughts regarding common questions about Filipino VA’s

How easy or hard is it for a Filipino to get a good job with an American company?

Online jobs are increasing in demand in the Philippines, especially nowadays when applying for a “decent” job with a local company is not as easy as 1, 2, 3. I know and have experienced undergoing the application process in corporate companies in our country. Written examinations and one-on-one interviews are two steps that play a key role in your success in getting a job.

For me, it is easier to get a good job with an American company when you wish to be a home-based employee. If you have the skills necessary for the job you’re applying for, and a great work ethic, there is a higher chance that you’ll receive a good offer from a company. Any employer wants their staff to have a willingness to work hard, ability to solve problems, dedication to the job, productivity, self-motivation, confidence, honesty, adaptability, and loyalty.

Before applying for an online job, you have to make sure that your resume states all of your skills, qualities, awards, and other accomplishments that will make companies consider you as one of the best candidates for the job. An honest and enticing resume will have a significant impact on your success.

I had several experiences working online with an American company as a virtual assistant, social media manager, and article writer. I can say that applying for these positions is much easier than looking for an office-based job in Manila. I did not have to undergo verbal interviews to prove my verbal communication skills or take written exams. I had to show my English skills by answering questions and completing tasks that show other skills required for the job. This part is quite challenging, but not that difficult if you are serious about working at home.
